The Spice Girls rocked the Molson Amphitheatre in Toronto on their first world tour, 11 July 1998

Following an online vote by fans, Toronto became the official Spice City, receiving more votes than Baghdad, Rio de Janeiro and the Australian city of Alice Springs.

Defining the Toronto skyline is the CN Tower. At a height of 553.33 metres it is the world's second tallest freestanding structure - a title it has claimed for the past 31 years

Famous Torontonians include Neil Young, Jim Carrey and Mike Myers.
